- Or by pressing MOD+o at any time. To turn it back on, press MOD+Shift+o. On Android, the POWER button always turns the screen on. For convenience, if POWER is sent via scrcpy (via right-click or MOD+p), it will force to turn the screen off after a small delay (on a best effort basis). The physical POWER button will still cause the screen to be turned on. It can also be useful to prevent the.
- Hi Michael, you have to have Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) installed (it supports IA-32 „Intel Architecture 32-Bit“). You might also want to have a look at the Genymotion Operating System requirements.
I’m use Mac OS El Capitan 10.11.5
Installed VirtualBox 5.0.24
Genymotion 2.7.2
And when i’m starting Genymotion i get crash — see image:-

text from crash report
if start from terminal i get next text

How to solve this problem?
Solution no. 1:
Just figured out how to force Genymotion 2.7.2 to work on OS X.
You should have Genymotion 2.7.2 and homebrew installed.
or if you have it already installed
remember: find returns a list (old homebrew packages will be included), so if you have several homebrew openssl versions you should skip third command (cp find
stage) and copy openssl dylib manually
Fix for: Genymotion.app
Fix for: Genymotion Shell.app
P.S.: It seems that libcrypto.1.0.0.dylib in Genymotion 2.7.0 – 2.7.2 was built for Sandy Bridge or newer CPU’s and crashing on instruction
vxorps %xmm0, %xmm0, %xmm0
EDIT:
missed commands to update embedded player.app (genymotion VM tool), but we need to update it too… if we want to run VM’s 😉
Fix for: player.app
Now Genymotion 2.7.2 works
Solution no. 2:
Upd. I downgrade to version 2.6.0, and that fix this problem.
Solution no. 3:
I can confirm that Genymotion 2.6.0 works on a Mac that presents this problem. Download link

Solution no. 4:
I can confirm this with OS 10.11.5, Genymotion 2.7.0 or 2.7.1 or the actual 2.7.2 using the actual VirtualBox 5.0.24
I even uninstalled Genymotion totally
like told in the FAQ, doing this:
Genymotion Download For Windows
But no change. All three versions 2.7.0, 2.7.1 and 2.7.2 are not working, because they crash immediately at start, even with a previous clean uninstall.
Genymotion 2.6.0 works though, like the others wrote. But now there are differences between the images, in the download I get 2.7.2 images and no more 2.6.0 images, which gives then warnings and difficutlites as well.
Genymotion Cost
I asked the support and will post here the results if there.

Hope this helps!

Hi Ben Jakuben! Does genymotion run on mac osx 32 bit? I only see the 64bit version only at the genymotion website yet my macbook pro is 32bit.
Hi Michael,

Hi Holger!
i am currently running mountain lion. Let me check out the link you've have shared and see how to go about it.
Thanks!
But OS X Mountain Lion is a full 64-bit operating system, with the kernel and extensions in 64-bit. I thought you have got older 32Bit Hardware?
Yup, surprise - your MBP might be more advanced than you think it is :)
Did you ever had a look at 'About this Mac' to determine the specs just to be sure?
To be honest. No! Sound weird yet I have used this MBP for 2years now.
By the way, I am done installing the Genymotion emulator. I wonder why google isn't improving its default suck loading emulator to something as fast at loading and physical like Genymotion.
'I wonder why google isn't improving its default suck loading emulator to something as fast at loading and physical like Genymotion.' - that's a really good question and I'd like to hear the excuse for that from Google :-)
Genymotion Mac
Holger Liesegang, sorry that I am asking a lot but, the Genymotion I installed only has API levels 10 and above. Is there a way i can use Genymotion to test for lower API levels (like API levels 7,8,9)?
Sorry, Michael Ntambazi , but I didn't find any virtual device with with an older API than 10 and I also scanned all the info at Genymotion. You can either ask their support or use the original Google simulator (and make some coffee or tee while waiting for it to start) for this purpose.
:-) Indeed! I hope i didn't hurt their feeling by saying that their default emulator 'sucks at loading' :-)
